About Me

Bismillah! I’m Gina Siedow, and I’m serving as a community health Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal, West Africa in the southeastern region of Kedougou.

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a degree in International Studies and minors in Environmental Studies and Global Health, I moved to Chicago, Illinois to work in hospital administration at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. While I loved Chicago (Jeni’s Ice Cream, I miss you), I decided to pursue my interest in global health and follow my dream of becoming a Peace Corps Volunteer.

Follow along with me on my two-year journey as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kedougou, also known as the best region in Senegal!
